We are a family owned and operated facility located near Benton City, WA, a small town of 2,800 people. It is located in the Eastern Washington sage “desert” area, but is in a fertile, green bend of the Yakima River. The climate boasts long Indian summers and moderate winters, with an average of 300 days of sunshine a year. We are bordered by the Horse Heaven Hills which were named in 1881 by James Kinney, a Yakima Washington pioneer, "because the area offers excellent forage and comparative isolation". Large bands of wild horses once roamed the area. It is the perfect climate and terrain for raising horses and the beautiful Yakima River is near by. It is here that we breed, raise, train and sell top of the line quarter horses. We strive to offer the very best barrel racing and working bloodlines.
We are very pleased to offer to the public our young stallion Fire On Bug. He is an own son of the immortal Fire Water Flit, double bred Flit Bar and out of a money winning barrel mare who is by Shawne Bug. This exciting young chocolate palomino stallion has breeding and temperament that are second to none. Fire On Bug has the whole package, color, breeding, athletic ability and charisma. He is currently in training and is awesome! Look for him running barrels this summer!

Sage Ranch has clean, safe facilities to take care of you and your horses needs whether you have horses here for breeding, training, boarding or an overnight layover, we provide only the very best! We can accommodate your requests and can customize a plan for you. We are conveniently located 20 minutes from the popular TRAC facility in Pasco WA, and gladly accept overflow stalling and camping as well as shipping layovers.
The large airy 40 x 84 barn has 16 ft concrete aisle with matted 12 x 12 or 12 x 16 stalls. An office with telephone, bathroom, microwave and refrigerator make your visit convenient. Vet stocks are located in the barn as well as a tack room.
The huge arena measures 260 x 160 plus there is a round pen and wash rack! We also offer 12 x 24 outside pens, RV water and electrical hook-ups. The entire property has an unbelievable view of the Horse Heaven Hills.
